Perhaps you recall two years ago, I was the only kitten in the house and the weight of the entire fundraiser landed on my shoulders. I was only five months old and weighed three pounds -that's a lot for a wee kitten. I did my best, but I kind of felt I served my time.
And the next year I answered phones again. The Kibblesmiths were there to help, but let's be honest, I carried that one too.
So here I am, year three. Alone. Where is Bean? Napping upstairs. And where are those new kittens?
Clearly, they're too wild to even consider bringing them on set -they would be swinging from the paper lanterns within seconds.
Here I am. Sigh.
But I know there are homeless cats and kittens out there who need us, so I will skip my nap and do everything I can within my power to answer these phones like a champ and raise squillions for our shelter. Dang it, I'm going to do it.
I'm going to do it. I'm going to do it.
Ye-aaaaaawwwwwn. Is that a sunbeam over there?
OH dear, I think Wylla's shift might be ending soon - there's an afternoon nap calling her name. Maybe we should try making our donations online for now?
We've got a BIG $3000 challenge on the table today and we've barely put a dent in it! We still have seven hours left and I think we can get there, but it's going to take some rallying!
Every single dollar you give brings us two dollars closer to our goal! That's right, when you donate during our match today, your dollar gets doubled by our Awesome Anonymous Donor.
Instead of getting that $5 latte this afternoon, maybe take that money, and donate it to the cats and kittens? Every single bit helps!
I know we've had some big matches since we began this just a few days ago, but because our season is half as long, we're pushing twice as hard. So if you're thinking about donating, please jump in now!
Thank you!
To make your tax-deductible donation to help care for, feed, vaccinate, microchip, spay and neuter the homeless cats and kittens, please visit our FUNdraising page!
Thank you for caring so much!
Oh Wylla, your life is so hard... : )
ReplyDeleteI'm off to make a donation now. I just can't stand the idea of not meeting the challenge!
Wylla, your plight touched my heart! You talked me into making a donation.
ReplyDeleteROTFLMAO!!! Oh my too funny. Good work, Wylla!

Oh dear, I hadn't thought of the consequences of letting this batch of kittens loose on the beautiful set... Well, Wylla, I'll just have to donate so you can take a break!
ReplyDeleteThe posts in the past few days have been so wonderful. With each post I think, "that's my favorite photo, story, post, etc. ever!" and then the next one comes along and tops that. What a wonderful site this is for a wonderful cause!
ReplyDeleteWylla looks like a giant on a set designed for tiny kittens! Of course Bean would fill the whole set...
ReplyDeleteLove how you matched the Fund Raising Set to hard working Wylla's eyes. But the girl deserves a break! Or a nap.
