Not Just Better, But Cured
I hadn't weighed Wylla a while, so I scooped her up last night and put her into the bowl of the kitchen scale. Much to my surprise, the needle went all the way around and past the "zero" mark again. It's a four kilogram scale, so that meant she weighed more than 8.81 pounds.
I took her into the bathroom and weighed the both of us, then just myself, and did the math.
Wylla weighs a whopping 9.25 pounds!
She's been doing so great lately. She still eats her wet food from an elevated dish, but eats the dry from a bowl on the floor. We used to give her just a few morales at a time and now she can eat a whole meal's worth. And it ALL stays down. She hasn't regurgitated since last December.
I hate to say this out loud in fear of jinxing it all, but I do think that Wylla is not just better, but now cured.
Well done, Wylla!!!!!

Congrats, that's great news!
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Wylla! Packing on the pounds on the sly. And much of this is due to your mom and dad working hard to help you learn to deal with MegaE. Real question - how much does Beanie weigh?
ReplyDeleteThis is just the best news!! And what an inspiration for other pet parents who are dealing with Mega E in their furbabies!
ReplyDeleteSuch great news! Yay for Wylla!
