These Hollis girls have great motors. If they're sitting still or lightly sleeping, you can usually hear them idling. I've shared short clips of their purring on our Instagram account, but I know not everyone is using Instagram, so I strung together a few bits to share with you today on the blog.
Please enjoy their soothing sounds.
You can make a mint selling this to insomniacs. Not so good for those of us at work...sleepy, getting very sleepy...
ReplyDeleteHaha, seconded! Definitely not good for the Friday afternoon of a very busy week.
DeleteLaurie, I know you guys work so hard taking care of all these fosters but seeing this video shows how much of a joy it must be as well! Such sweetness!
ReplyDeletePop-up Hankie totally cracked me up at the end! Oh, how I love that girl!
I love that- getting a cat to purr always feels like an accomplishment. You have won their heart- or at least it always feels that way! Its like getting a baby to smile back at you.
ReplyDeleteJust the most soothing sound on God's green earth ....
ReplyDeleteI love baby kitty purrs. It's like their purr box is too big for their bodies and it's super loud.
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly it!
DeleteWhen my Chai was a baby he purred constantly and so loudly that if you were in the room below him you could hear him through the ceiling!!!
I was watching the Godfather 2 days ago - I've seen it maybe 50 times, but for the first time EVER, I noticed in scene one that Brando is giving skritches to a tabby kitten in his lap- and you can hear it PURR in the background. It was probably near his body mic and they just left it in.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing better than one purring kitten is more than one purring kitten. This video was pure audio bliss.
