Well, Wylla, you're not supposed to be on top of the dresser. You're well-aware that it is off-limits for kitties. And I put those toys up there for a reason -- to keep them away from YOU. You have a very bad habit of gnawing the feathers off all of the feather toys, so between our play sessions, I need to keep them out of your paw's reach.
So get down from there, please.
But wait, you're being awfully cute. Let me snap a few photos before I shoo you off.
Oh Wylla! You are just adorable even when you are naughty!
ReplyDeleteFor cats, cuteness is always an alibi!
ReplyDelete#32 the "rules of cutness" on cuteoverload is exactly this.

Here's a conundrum. Wylla is not supposed to be up there. But she's just so very cute! Wylla, I agree with anonymous- cuteness works!
ReplyDeleteCuteness is something Wylla uses exceptionally well.
ReplyDeleteI love that with the exception of the first photo there is no direct eye contact. At my house this is referred to as "Hmmm, is that a voice I hear..."
ReplyDeleteWhen in doubt - flaunt the cute factor! Miss Stout, you seem to be living up to your name with all the feathers you seem to be eating. Good job with distracting Mom so you don't get scolded too badly.
ReplyDeleteHuh. I've never even contemplated trying to keep the cats off anything, because I figure they'll just go there when I'm not around to tell them not to. Maybe I'm not giving them enough credit... or too much credit.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos of sweet Wylla :)
ReplyDeleteOur feather wands have to be kept in the closet!
In the fifth photo, she seems to be toying with the idea of possibly going for the feather toy. Fight the temptation, Wylla! Don't ruin this moment of cuteness!
ReplyDeletei bet it is super warm under that lamp!
ReplyDeleteTrue dat person....take pictures before making them get down :)
ReplyDeleteOur feather wand has to hang out on the mantle, the only place Murray hasn't figured out how to access (unless we lock it behind a door). He's training me to play with him on command by giving me his cutest look(along with a little new) while gazing longingly up at the mantle.
ReplyDeleteYour photography continues to be superb - and Miss Wylla continues to be just about the most photogenic cat I have ever seen. Congratulations to both of you -- now go buy her some more feathers!
ReplyDelete“But Mom, the colors up here flatter *my* coloring. And I’m enjoying the heat lamp you put here for my enjoyment. I’ll get down soon, I promise."
