I've been busy preparing for a big craft sale that's coming up next weekend and have taken over a good percentage of the dining room table for making things and messes. I'm sharing my craft room with kittens right now, and it's risky to leave works in progress, supplies, or tools out on my desk because those little monkeys will surely get into all of it. They forced me to relocate.
They usually are at my fee while I'm working and the scraps that fall to the ground are enough to keep them entertained, so they don't try too hard to get on the tabletop an into trouble.
But this weekend while I took a break from crafting to do a little housework, Vancie scaled the chair and settled in for a nap inside a bag of craft supplies. It was mostly filled with felt, so it made a very cozy kitten bed.
Today is surgery day for the Plunketts. I took them to the shelter early this morning and by now parts have been shaved and I'm sure they're sound asleep. It will be a hard day, but the worst part, the part where they are denied their breakfast, is behind them. I'll pick up the groggy babies later this afternoon.
Everyone has a home now and later this week we'll start saying goodbye! I know, too soon.
Glad to know they have homes but WHAAA! No more Bellies or Floof Kittens!
ReplyDeleteSuch a relief to know that everyone has a home!
ReplyDeleteHooray that everyone got their homes! I can't wait to hear their stories!
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie! So thankful that everyone has a little place to call their own. Please be sure to tell us where and when the craft fair is this weekend!
ReplyDelete*blink* didn't they just get here?! I'm going to miss these little ones, but I know they have wonderful homes to go to and I echo Jason...the stories are always fun!

Between cats and little kids, I pretty much gave up doing any crafts or projects that would need to sit out on a table. Now that everyone is grown, the cats just help with jigsaw puzzles.
ReplyDeleteWow, itty bitty bits are gone and that means some homes are going to be filled with some very special new residents.
ReplyDeleteThese are my favorite happy beginnings
Awww, Vancie! What a darling assistant you are!
ReplyDeleteI do hope they are leaving in pairs! They seem extra fond of each other.
ReplyDeleteKitties just have a way of finding the most comfortable place to occupy!! Can't wait to hear about their new homes and forever families!
ReplyDeleteBetter than my cat who is sleeping in my washing basket
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious addition to your crafting supplies.
