Ellie was the last of the Plunketts to roll past the two-pound mark, now they're now on the surgery schedule for next week, and will soon be ready to leave our nest. We've found homes for three of the kittens, but dear little Ellie has not found her people. Yet. They're out there somewhere, they just need to make their way to us.
We love Ellie. She's a demure, sweet, and gentle girl, who is generous with her purrs and cuddles. And she's adorable, too. Her coat is shiny and soft, she's nearly all black, but she has a few smokey patches on her chest and belly. She has cutest little white tufts in her ears which become quite animated when she's wound up.
She does have a shy side, so when she first meet strangers or gets startled, she tends to retreat. She's by no means a scaredy-cat, but a cautious one at times, and because of this facet of her personality, I think quieter home might suit her best.

She gets along great with the Charlene and Wylla, so I think she would merge nicely into a home with adult cats. Of course her siblings love her, she's playful and fun, so a home with another kitten would be awesome, too.
If you live in the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia area and might be able to offer a great home to this sweet kitten, please send us an email and introduce yourself. And if you're not in the market, but know someone in the area who might be, please help us spread the word by sharing a link to this post.
Thank you!
Thank you!
Ellie's people, wherever you are, please step forward!
She is just adorable! I can't believe that her people haven't come yet! She is so precious.
ReplyDeleteOn the count of 3....come out, come out, wherever you are. Gail
ReplyDeletecan you adopt to a portlander?
ReplyDeleteYes! We've done that before. PDX illustrator Trish Grantham has a pair of our kittens!
Deleteoh man, had I known that, Bibi Winkler would have been MINE.
DeleteDear little Ellie looks so concerned! Oh, Ellie - you will find a home, a purr-fect home! Fear not!
ReplyDeleteShe looks so sad not having been picked yet! If only I didn't live in NC...
ReplyDeleteOh darling, your family will find you and love you forever, precious little bear.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, lovely Ellie -- and I know that Laurie will magick you up the ideal family.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish we were still in the area! Unfortunately, Dallas TX is a long way away. Our Nutmeg is ready for a friend to share her view of the birdies and squirrels with.
ReplyDeleteShe's just waiting for the right ones. I love the ear fluff by the way. It is a bit too far in Dunedin New Zealand for a little kitty to travel (although my big boy would love her)
ReplyDeleteAs usual, I just know the universe will come through for Miss Ellie Belly! Even though logically, I know the kitties don't really know the difference, it always makes me a little sad when you show the one or two that are not picked right away! Their little worried faces show that they haven't realized that they will certainly end up right where they belong :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I sooo agree with Annie R's comments. As someone who was never picked first for anything it hurts my heart to know another soul has to wait to be chosen. I hope and pray that dear sweet Elly will be united with her furever home family very soon. We are a few hours too far away and a few too many sets of paws to be in the running. But....if we were closer, I would be calling for a visit to meet dear sweet Miss Ellie the Belly. My prayers of best luck go to you!
