I was up and moving around a little later than normal last night. We're doing some entertaining this weekend, and I wanted to get as much cleaning as I could before turning in for the night. Charlene was upstairs cuddling with her dad on the couch, but Wylla, who is normally tucked into bed at this hour, was keeping me company.
All of her toys had been picked up and put away, so there wasn't much to do, sohe just watched me work, flopped dramatically and sighed occasionally with the hope of catching my attention and encouraging me to play with her.
"I'm so sad and bored, Mom. Can't you please stop and maybe get out my feather wand for just a little bit?"
One last note before I go today, if you want to send Bean a birthday greeting to be included in her birthday slide show, please email it to us by first thing tomorrow morning. Full details HERE!
A huge thanks to all who've contributed a card already! We've had some super cute submissions come in, and I can't wait to share them with you all and Bean!
Poor, bored Wylla! I'd love to play with you! If only I was in the area and not in the Midwest...
ReplyDeleteOh no - the deadly "Wylla Floofy Belly Trap" has been set! Must have been nary a toy in sight for this to happen.
ReplyDeleteShe is so perfectly a part of your family. It makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteAnd did you relent and pull out the feather wand? It's SO boring when there are no kittens and Charlene is elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteShe's not only floofy, but she's 'cowlick-y' in every which way! :) (pic 4)
ReplyDeleteI know that sigh. It's the "my life is SO HARD" sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt appears Wylla has learned the collapse and sigh from big sis Charlene well. And if it's anything like at my house, she was hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteDid her fur ruffle with each deep, bored kitty sigh?
