No Adjustment Period
I can't recall a litter that took to their new surroundings any easier than these four cuties did. And meeting the big cats was a breeze, too.
They met Wylla yesterday morning. There was a big patch of sunshine pouring in the living room, and Wylla was soaking it in. When the kittens were done having breakfast in their room, I opened the door, they all dashed into the living room, and when they spotted Wylla, they joined her in the sun patch. Prior to this meeting, they hadn't had even a single glimpse of Wylla, so it was surprising to see how fearlessly they approached her. Nothing in their body language seemed to express any worry or apprehension. They were all just "HI! We're the Patmores! Mind if we join you there in the sun?"
They were just as casual later than morning when it came time to meet Bean.
This is such a confident bunch of kittens. I certainly never mind taking time to socialize a set, but it sure is nice having a batch that's all warmed up and ready to go!

Wow, that WAS easy! This could be my favorite video from you ever!
ReplyDeleteIt appears Wylla sets the stage for calm and acceptance. She is such a sweetheart as are the Patmores!
ReplyDeleteYou make me wanna foster. KITTENS
ReplyDeleteThe one kitten, rolling over like a rotisserie in the sun. SO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI love how Bean tried to groom that Patmos and the baby didn't want her to, so she just walked away! So sweet!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky to have two floofy gals meet four tiny gals and no hissing! Must have been the power of the warm sun.

ReplyDeleteMeeting in the sunshine - good for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThose are some lucky kittens: Wylla and Charlene are the best!
ReplyDeleteThat is quite impressive how little drama.
ReplyDeleteKinda miss the little poofing kittens, though.
Wylla was giving lessons (successful ones!) in sunbeam rolling to the girls!
ReplyDeleteGirls Rule!
ReplyDeleteLook, big cat, I'm rolling. See? See? Excuse me, you're not looking. I'm rolling. See? :-D
ReplyDeleteI love how Bean takes a lick, then turns to the camera as if to say "Hey mom, these are great but did you get me any tabby BOYS? You know they're my favorite flavor..."
ReplyDeleteI had the same thought!
DeleteI think a little birdie must have told the Patmores while they were still in quarantine how lucky they would be to have Wylla and Bean as foster moms :)
ReplyDeleteWhoa- that is just the most adorable. I love the little stare down at the end. SO precious.
ReplyDeleteThey are such a lovely bunch of tabbies--it would be great fun if someone took the whole batch together. It's a smorgasbord of little tiger cats!
ReplyDeleteI am simply in love with this set of kittens. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post. I was just giving condolences to another cat blogger about the passing of her beloved kitty. With a lump in my throat, I knew I needed a dose of kittens, and the sun spot video was just the medicine I needed. Your blog gives joy, and I thank you.
