I'm always on the lookout for good vintage cat stuff, and couple of years back, I picked up this kitten book published in 1943,
Little Lost Cat, at our local book store. I pulled it off the shelf the other day while doing a little dusting and realized the kitten in the story bared a strong resemblance to a certain kitten currently in residence her at the IBKC.
Now, doesn't that look like our little Tegan?
Well, almost.
Maybe the book kitten is Tegan's grandmother? Love the last shot!
ReplyDeleteTegan is a natural at modeling. She even has the sassy look down pat.
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely adorable. The last picture made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!! That last one especially :)
ReplyDeletelast pic is excellent. it looks just like my Miss Lily so i had to order the book...she loves to read!
ReplyDeleteTegan is a wee beauty with an ability to show both innocence AND sass.
ReplyDeleteSomeone is gonna be so lovely!
Gorgeous kitties in duplicate, but you can't beat the real thing! :)
ReplyDeleteNothing beats the real thing--except when the real thing is waking you up at dark o'clock for breakfast. ;D
DeleteWow, that is a strong resemblance! Tegan has the cuter nose, though. ;)
DeleteLoL. Tegan is the reincarnation of my childhood torby. She's going to be a great companion
ReplyDeleteYou have had so many VERY cute kittens, Laurie, but little Tegan is something special. In looks at least :-), she seems to me the essence of what makes kittens so very heart-meltingly adorable. What a darling! Give her a kiss for me!
ReplyDeleteShe also looks like Abner in The Contented Little Pussy Cat...a great favorite of mine as a child. :)
