Tegan's whiskers.
The whiskers on the left side are just nubs -- a few on the right are missing too.
I'm not entirely sure who the whisker nibbler is, but I think it might be Dinah. I didn't see her actually chewing on Tegan's whiskers, but I did notice her licking her face quite aggressively as they were settling into a puddle and getting ready for a nap.
Tegan is the smallest of the set, and often it's the wee one that this happens to.
Don't look so sad, wee Tegan. They'll grow back, I promise!
And with or without them, you're still the most adorable thing in the world.
we've had that happen here....
ReplyDeleteTegan - perhaps you should use Russell as your napping buddy. Or maybe Dinah is jealous of your Wylla-like markings. In any case you are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI wonder why kittens chew the whiskers off each other. Seems to be a phase they go through.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered that too. Turns out puppies do it as well. Our puppy was the calm, quiet (and slightly timid) one of the litter and when we got her home we noticed all her whiskers had been nibbled off. It was pretty cute though, just like Tegan's little nubs. ;-)
DeleteAw, poor baby. You're still cute as can be, though.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Millie Draper.. Someone chewed hers off as well. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that post and the pictures are possibly my favorites of all time here at IBKC! There was just something so pitifully adorable about poor Millie and her little *sniffs* and whisker nubs.
