Out and About (and Under)
Friday afternoon, our little Framboises got to step out of their room and do a little exploring in the "Big World".
Wylla and Charlene were parked on the living room rug, and as the kittens tiptoed in, they sat back and observed the Tabby timidness. The girls are pretty good at reading kittens, and I could see they were trying to give the Framboise Family some space and time, though what they really wanted to do was rush them to say hello. They sat still as the kittens moved closer, slowly sniffing everything in their path, but Bean got impatient, let out a little warning trill, then made a beeline for Posey and gave her a bath. You can see a video of it HERE on Instagram.
After some exploring, the kittens decided that they felt safer under the couch, and that's where they spent the rest of the afternoon. We let them be, went about our business, and did not push them too much on their first day out.
We entertained many guests this weekend, which was good for the kittens. Which each set of guests, and each passing day, they got braver. Now, they're spending much more time on top of things rather than under things. We're getting lots of purrs and even naps on our laps now!
They are doing great! I am proud of these brave little creatures and their progress!

I think Charlene showed great restraint by waiting even more than a minute before giving one of these tasty tabbies a bath!
ReplyDeleteYes! I don't think it'll be long before they're all getting the Big Beam Bath. It's like when someone brings cupcakes to work but you have to wait before tasting one.
DeleteLittle kittens, big world... Wylla and Bean are so good with the babies!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bean, Miss Posey is irresistible!

I love their white eyeliner.
ReplyDeletenot only the white eyeliner, but the ear floofs!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Charlene and Wylla are just such wonderful mentors for their Tabby kittens.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I am at home so I can gasp, oohhh and giggle aloud at the kitten piles, Wylla cuddles and of course Charlene's immense restraint as she approached her first Framboise.
Naps on laps!! Such brave little tykes.
