How perfect is this? Less than a week before Halloween, and look, LOOK, who shows up on our doorstep.
One absolutely adorable orange girl kitten and one absolutely adorable black boy kitten!
And who are these Halloween treats?
They are Marigold and Poe Starling. Marigold is on the left, and Poe is on the right.
BUT WAIT! It gets even better!
WHAT? How can it get any better that this, you ask? Are there more of them?
No, it's just the pair of them. But there is more of them, sort of...
BECAUSE THEY BOTH HAVE EXTRA TOES!! Each paw, both front and back, sport an extra toe, making a total of 22 toes on each kitten.
Nice mittens, kittens!
\
This is exciting, friends. Halloween kittens WITH EXTRA TOES!
EXTRA TOES!!
Augh. Slay me will you? Nice names, too. (There's a nevermore joke in here somewhere.)
ReplyDeleteI love the third picture with Poe sticking out his tongue at Marigold!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite! So adorable!
DeleteThat is hilarious!
DeleteAdorable! So is Marigold a girl and Poe a boy? Both girls? Both boys?
ReplyDeleteMarigold is a girl and Poe is a boy.
DeletePoe is blepping!! Halloween kittens, extra toes AND blepping?!
ReplyDeleteSkaWEEEEEE!! Another little tongue makes an appearance!
ReplyDeleteBest treats ever!
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeeeeeek! DEAD.
ReplyDeleteSQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! yeah, I did it out loud, in the walkway at work. oops. Orange kittens make me swoon! (shh! Don't tell my grey girls!)
ReplyDeletePlease mail them to me immediately.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Marigold is a girl! You don't see orange girls very often!
ReplyDeleteOoooh!! If I come trick or treating to your house, will you drop one (or both) of them in my treat bag? Please!
ReplyDeleteLove the cross-eyed picture of Poe sticking his tongue out at Marigold.
Delicious! And I love love love the names.
ReplyDeleteAww, those extra toes are perfect for kneading! I can't wait to see them all grown up!
ReplyDeleteLovely pair! Great names... And how much do I want to fly over and squeeze them both???
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I am happily surprised to see a new litter so soon, especially one that continues the blepping.
ReplyDeletefreckledme, I have a soft spot for orange kittens, too. And an orange female is quite unusual...
I think they are becoming less of a rarity these days. We've had a couple (Millie and Rhoda, and maybe I'm forgetting someone) and I've noticed a lot coming through the shelter. Most recently, a litter of five had three orange girls.
DeleteAww, it's a cute little punkin and a handsome little, uh, bat-boy. And all those mittens should be excellent for batting things around, like sparkle balls. Let the games begin!
ReplyDeleteAn orange GIRL kitten? This is so rare. And with extra toes? I'm in love.
ReplyDeleteSo many toes on Poe! And I too am a card carrying fan of orange girls. Welcome Marigold and Poe! Thanks for making my Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteOrange and black! It's like what you would get if Wylla passed through a prism!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!! THOSE TOES!!!!! THAT TONGUE!!!!!!! Perfect Halloween kitters!
ReplyDeleteOMG! They are adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG! Poe. He's just stunning.
ReplyDeleteAnd an orange girl?! How absolutely adorable! I think I'm in love.
My favorite cat colors. If I didn't have an cat-phobic wife I'd love to come get them despite being a few states away.
ReplyDeleteThey are the cutest Halloween kittens! That's cool that they ended up finding you!
ReplyDeletePerfect kittens with perfect names! How adorable! Now get a green one and a brown one and Thanksgiving will be complete!
ReplyDeleteOMG! For once in my life, I wish I didn't live in Texas because I want these babies! They're perfectly loveable for an October gal like me!
ReplyDelete1st pic of 2 of them together.... Is that his tongue I see? Gail
ReplyDeleteLaurie. You are lovely. Your excitment at extra kitten toes, on Halloween!, is wonderfully amusing. :)
ReplyDeleteOh precious, precious, precious ones.
ReplyDeleteomg omg omg. i cannot. cannot handle the cute.
ReplyDeletePoe is eyeing Marigold's neck quite intently in two of the pictures. You might want to check for itty bitty bite marks the next time you're in the kitten room. XD
ReplyDeleteIf there's anything better than big-toed cats, it's big-toed kittens! Can't wait to see more of this pair.
ReplyDeleteThis is much too perfect. So adorable!!! The colours...the toes...the names...Poe's little tongue.
ReplyDeleteSo wonderful. How lucky for you and for Marigold and Poe. And for all of us.
ReplyDeleteIn time for Thanksgiving too! I hope we can get turkeys for each polydactyl this year!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! What kind of basket or bed are they in? Love the colors. I bet my cat would like one.
ReplyDeleteIt's crochet and made of fabric. It was a gift from an anonymous fan.
DeleteOrange and black kitties with just a tiiiiny touch of the unusual... they could not be more perfect for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteI also have one black and one orange cat, but neither of them has KITTENMITTENS!!!
ReplyDeleteThose mittens are perfect for some turkey drawings. Just saying...
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, that takes me back to when our late emdee had her kittens in august 2004. she was a polydactyl torbie and the 2 boys were binx, who is black and tailless with extra thumbs, and our late cas, who was a huge orange teacosy with extra toes front and back.
ReplyDeletemay marigold and poe have long happy healthy lives of love and joy and fun!
They may have six toes but they are still so adorable can I have both please
ReplyDeleteI think they are becoming less of a rarity these days. We've had a couple and I've noticed a lot coming through the shelter. Most recently, a litter of five had three orange girls Thanks for shared!
