Poe and Marigold and Sarah

DSC_0069

This week is a hard one for me. I come out of floral retirement each time this year to do a party for a client of mine, and it's happening on Wednesday.  It's huge. I have 2,225 roses in my basement at the moment -- it looks like a Rose Bowl Parade float down there!

I promise to put something up every day, but things will be a little lighter than normal while I trudge through this event.

My friend Sarah, AKA Charlene's foster mom, is helping me out with the event and we took a little break yesterday to hang out with dear Poe and Marigold.

They were happy to be in her comfortable hands.   We had a nice little visit, a little playtime, and we recounted toes.

Today marks the last day of quarantine and I know the big cats are thrilled about that! They've been waiting by the door for a chance to slip in and visit the little ones.

With all that's going on this week, I'm thinking I might wait on letting Poe and Marigold out, but instead, I'll let Charlene and Wylla in to meet them.   I want to be able to supervise them as  they enter the bigger world, and I won't have time to do that until after the party.

I think they'll be fine with that. They're pretty happy in their quarters!

  1. What is it about holding kittens like little human babies that feels so right!? *sigh* I miss that baby stage.

  2. Please make sure to post a link to the photos of the event. I drooled over the ones last year. Almost better than kittens!

  4. I'm sure Charlene will make a beeline to the kibble while Wylla distracts the kittens! Please take photos of the encounter!

  5. Poe looks *very* content to be in Sarah's capable hands. Does Marigold care about anything other than catching the sparkle ball? ;D

  6. Lucky Sarah, getting a kitten break! How do you keep the felines from the roses? Do any get nibbled? The job of several thousand roses begins with a single kitten kiss.

  7. So cute! I particularly love the pic of Marigold chomping on the sparkle ball. Kittens make everything better.
