A Poe and Marigold Update!
Last night, Craig and I went to Poe and Marigold's new home for a holiday party. It had only been four days since they left our nest, but in this time, they both got a little bigger. They're doing really well. They're figuring out the floor plan, developing their routines, finding the best windows for watching squirrels and birds and all of the warmest spots to nap. Shawn said that when the furnace kicks on, Marigold makes a dash for the closest heater vent. Smart girl!
It was great seeing them in their new setting and spending a little time with them last night. They seemed happy to see us, and when we held them, we got lots of affection and purrs.
You can tell Shawn and David are so happy with their babies -- they talked excitedly about the pair and shared many stories and anecdotes.
I have a few photos to share today -- not from last night's party, but a few I took before their adoption.
We're missing these kittens, but so happy they're where they are!

Happy to know these two have such a loving home. And near by to boot! Will miss those Paws of Adorableness.
ReplyDeleteBut here's the important question - have Shawn and David put up their tree yet???? And if so, what do Poe and Marigold think of it?
ReplyDeletePoe is growing into his handsomeness.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, LOVE!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear they've wasted no time finding the best Cat TV viewing locations and continued charming their way even more deeply into Shawn and David's hearts. Marigold's devotion to the heat vents cracks me up. Cats! How bored we'd be without them around. ;) If you have any pics from the party, please share them.
ReplyDeleteLove them!
ReplyDeleteHow's Wylla without her little buddies?
ReplyDeleteShe's doing fine -- but she's a little bored.
DeleteThank you for the update, and thank you Shawn and David for giving these two kitties a happy life. <3
ReplyDeleteMarigold rabbit kicking made me laff. How cool is it that your friends will not only have a pair of siblings, but two polydactyls at that in their household? Kitten mittens ftw!
ReplyDeleteAre they keeping their names? That would be so cool! I can never bring myself to rename my adopted kitties.
ReplyDeleteSo far, I think so. But they're working on some nickname ideas.
