We got our Christmas tree two days before Poe and Marigold left, and as soon as they were gone, I began decorating it. We're very lucky that Charlene and Wylla have very little interest in the tree. They do come around when I water it each morning and on occasion will nap beneath it, but they never touch the ornaments, trim, or lights.
I do have a little Christmas village set up in the window and Wylla did run off with one of the tiny bottle brush trees, but other than that, the holiday decor is ignored. Thank goodness because we do have a lot of it!
I gathered the girls in the living room yesterday for a little holiday photo session. They were good kitties and sat still long enough to get a couple of decent shots.
They do look lovely in the glow of the tree!
This week I'm doing a huge holiday party for a client which means long days, lots of work, and not a lot of time to photograph or write about cats. I put a little something up each day, but I'll be keeping it pretty light on the social medias. Things will return to normal next week!
But who will ring the bells on the tree this year?
ReplyDeleteThey are angelic kitties not to rearrange your lovely Christmas decor. Could they have a word with my cats?
ReplyDeleteWhen Charlene and Wylla sit next to each other, Wylla almost looks taller than Charlene! Is that just the perspective?
Pretty, pretty -- cats AND decorations!!
ReplyDeleteAnd so not-so-wee Wylla ran off with one of the tiny bottle brush trees -- ha! That struck me so funny :)
Wow! Those are some great pictures. I love the one where the cats are sitting next to each other. I saw a YouTube video of wee Wylla from several years ago and oh how she's grown!
ReplyDeleteHave a good time at the party. I'm sure you'll do great!
I love the pic of them side by side. They really do look like sisters!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful, floofy cats.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteI wish my girls (who are from the same litter) would be half as friendly to each other. What good cats they are!
Charlene and Wylla are such good models! My cats do not photograph that well.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly believe that "wee" Wylla is the same size as her big sister now! They are both gorgeous.
Wylla has her Big Cat Face now! And who would have thought she would ever be as big as Charlene? Lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteWylla certainly does look to be a fraction taller than Charlene, but then Charlenes extra Floof may be weighing hwer down a little, and Wylla does has such extra-ordinary Ear Floof!
ReplyDeleteThe second solo one of Wylla is my favorite of her, hands down. She looks FABULOUS! All the care and love and dedication you invested to managing her MegaE when she was younger has paid off in (floofy, floofy) dividends. Bean looks as regal and floofalicious and gorgeous as always. I don't think there could ever be a bad picture of her unless the photographer messed up. ;)
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely ladies, and Wylla has gotten so big. She's all grown up!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful girls! What a beautiful tree! And WOW! What good girls, leaving the tree and ornaments alone.
ReplyDeleteMy kitty boys have their favorite ornaments, fortunately, non-breakable.
Many years ago when I had my kitty girls, I put my creshe underneath the tree. I came home from work one day and my kitty girls were using baby Jesus as a hockey puck. They had a great time. Good thing my create pieces are (high quality) molded plastic.
Buddy, Tiger and Mr. Mistofelees' mom
You have the two most beautiful and photogenic cats!! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed at how large and healthy Wylla has become! She looks as big as the Bean! They are both such beautiful kitties!
ReplyDeleteAll is calm; all is bright. Such beautiful photos of kitties so loved and loving. Thank you, Laurie!
ReplyDeleteThe eight from the bottom is my fave. Such awesome girls they are. *smooch*
ReplyDeleteBeautiful girls, and love your decorations. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSeveral good choices for next year's Christmas cards for the IKBC shop! Good luck with your party, Laurie. I'm sure it'll turn out great for your client.
