The kittens adjusted quickly to their new surroundings and are all settled in. They are social, playful, eating well, and seem to be a hearty bunch.
With all of yesterday's excitement, I haven't had a chance to nail down the names for all of the kittens in the litter yet, so full introductions will have to wait until I figure all of that out. The larger the litter, the longer it takes to find a name to match each kitten and a surname that works for all.
In the meantime, here's another look at the two you met yesterday plus one more member of Team Tabby.
This little gray tabby is a girl. You got a peek at her yesterday -- she was the one sitting outside of the basket with the adorable head tilt.
This handsome little fellow was the one inside the basket in yesterday's picture.
And this solid chunk is their brother. He's the biggest of the brood.
You shouldn't have too much trouble telling everyone apart in this litter. They are all tabbies, but everyone has distinctively different patterns, and there is variation in size and color, too.
I think you're really going to enjoy getting to know this set -- they are as adorable as they are delightful! I can't wait to show you videos of the whole crew romping about!!
Welcome, Team Tabby! We're so glad you're here!
There's still more to meet, so tune in tomorrow!
Oh dear, they are precious!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness. Currently considering quitting my job and turning my house into a Home for Wayward Kittens.
ReplyDeleteEAR TUFTS. Damn
ReplyDeleteAugh, the little ear tufts!! Can't wait to meet the rest of the litter and learn their names!
ReplyDeleteIs it tomorrow yet?
ReplyDeleteI loooooove them.
OK, let me see if I can break it out...
ReplyDeleteYou can tell them apart by the darker stripes that arc up along their foreheads from the inner edge of their eyes.
Girl Tabby has longer stripes that sort of gracefully 'curve' outwards.
Boy Tabby #1 has shorter stripes with a sharper 'bend' outwards.
And Boy Tabby #2 has longer, straighter stripes that actually bend inwards a bit!
OMG, I love them already!
ReplyDeleteI am slain by the cute! But what a way to go...
ReplyDeleteAwwww the little ones look a tiny bit scared. Don't worry, you're in good hands and soon you'll be having the time of your life!
ReplyDeleteI also came here to "internet shout":

ReplyDeleteThe grumpy looking gray girl is the spitting image of my dear departed Mattie. She's tugging at my heartstrings something fierce.
ReplyDeleteChunk of a brother = Muggsy ... he does look like a Muggsy. Can't wait to meet the other one. I've never had a name leap to mind before like this one. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteOMG! So absolutely CUTE! What little bundles of Tabbyness! Love, love, LOVE!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like a HUGE team of tabbies! So excited to meet them all, even though I will miss the Fishkins dearly.
