The End is Near!

DSC_9893

We've been waiting for Miss Tillie to roll past the two-pound mark and finally, she did!  Spencer was taking his time, too, but made weight last weekend.  Now that everyone is big enough, they're all on the surgery schedule so these Huddleston days will be ending soon.

I know it's too soon for us, but it's not soon enough for their adopters!  They can't wait for their babies!

Awwww. They've grown so much, though, and they are an adorable bunch of babies. Good to know that they all have forever homes waiting.

Also, on those group shots, do you (a) have the camera and (b) have enough light to decrease your aperture? That will help bring the kitties in back into focus (smaller aperture = deeper field). I'd try f/16 if you have that size, and see where that gets you.

    1. Laurie is perfectly capable of taking a photo with all the kittens in focus. When she takes images such as these, it's clearly an artistic decision, one I find delightful. She's mentioned her camera setup elsewhere, but definitely shoots with a contemporary DSLR. I love these selective focus pics -- I think they're beautiful and evocative.

  3. Only today did I realize the full, magical extent of those whiskers. Best of luck to the Huddlestons!

  4. Can you do a first day/last day photo comparison so we can see how much they've grown up, please? I can't wait to hear about their adoption stories!

  5. No, no, no. I need more Huddlestons! Okay - I can see they have lost their baby faces this week, but a little more time???

  6. Aw, I will miss these little cuties, but can understand completely why their adopters might be eager to take them home!

  7. It's always bittersweet when the fledglings leave the nest, but I can only imagine how anxious their furever families must be!

  8. The adopters can wait a little bit longer. We want more time with these cuties! ;) Seriously, congrats to all the lucky families who will soon be sharing their lives with these sweethearts, and I'm looking forward to hearing all the adoption stories

  10. For some reason I haven't been able to post for awhile but now that I am, I just have to say how awesome the Huddlestons are. Just love me some tabbycats but I know their future families can't wait to love on their new babies!!

  12. I hope Spencer's adopters know they're getting a special soul. Farewell, dear boy!

  13. I read an article online about how cats adjust to new places faster if they have boxes around where they can hide. Does that match up with your experience? (I think the kitten bowl answers that question.)
