Sad, Wet Kittens

DSC_1362

Our Waddells were kind of a mess when they moved in with us --- hand-feeding and diarrhea will make that happen fast.  I hate to subject them to a bath unless absolute necessary, but with those crusty bums and mugs, they were in dire need of a good cleaning.

Poor sad, wet kittens, I'm sorry you had to go through this!  Thanks for being so good  -- I know it wasn't a lot of fun.

  2. All clean. Hope only 1 bath is needed.

  3. While it might have been difficult to subject them to bathing at such a young age, I'm betting that once it was over and they were drying off, they were pretty rejuvenated!

  4. Laurie, thank you so much for this. Today's been stressful at work (this morning felt like it lasted a week) but these pictures made me smile!

  5. Oh my goodness, is that Chip with the humongous ears? I know cats have shorter hair on their heads (well, shorthaired cats, anyway) but I didn't realize how much "oomph" that hair actually gave. Poor little babies! But I bet they felt a lot better after, and it sure gave us something to smile about!

  6. I always laugh at cats that are floofy when dry and so NOT when wet!The indignity of it all - but clean bums and mugs are better, kittens, really! Just wait until you get a Beanie Bath or a Wylla Wash Up.

  7. Ermahgerd. Wet kittens. Is there anything on earth more pathetically cute? Here's to no more baths being needed!

  8. Oh my, I've had to do this once to one of our kitties - it's not funny. I ended up running a lukewarm tap and holding her under it with baby bath lathering her up. She hasn't held it against me:-)

  9. Sometimes, we must endure terriblehorrible things for our own good. I'm sure they're feeling better.

  13. My co-workers recently gave me "Cat-Opoly" while I was recovering from surgery (i.e. Cat-themed Monopoly) and "Jail" (as in "Go directly to") is "WATER!" Very appropriate, I think. Unfortunately, sometimes water is necessary, little beans!
